Let us never forget that in honoring our flag, we honor the American men and women who have courageously fought and died for it over the last 200 years, patriots who set an ideal above any consideration of self.

We need another Reagan to evolve in the coming years. He instilled a particular sense of pride in Americans about America. He wasn’t the perfect president, but I do believe he was the best.

In the election of 2008, a lot of people are going to revisit Reagan’s legacy, philosophy, politics, and presidency. Whatever we hear–good, bad, ugly–we aught to welcome, since I think we’ve gotten off track in our country. Reagan may not have addressed Jihadist fanatacism as well as it should have been, but I believe his approach would be pertient today. Imagine how different our long long fight against terrorists would be with Reagan’s Great Communication machine.

I think a new Reagan Revolution is in the offing. A dialogue has begun. And that may be what we need to plant the country on firmer ground.
