No Terry, they would tell you that the recession that dates to 2008 is the worst since the Great Depression, and that we have pulled back from the brink and things are getting better, all of which would be true. The stock market, corporate profits, private sector job growth: all have been strong. The thing holding back the unemployment rate is the GOP insistence on cutting the public sector at every opportunity, costing the nation over a million jobs which didn’t need to be shed for any rational reason.
